REGISTERING FOR UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE

Go to the Florida Department of Revenue website and complete the requested information. When prompted to answer the question about 'payroll providers', select NO and complete the registration with your business information. Namely will setup the Agent/Client relationship in a separate process with the State of Florida.

Your
Florida Reemployment Account Number is used by the Florida Department of Revenue to identify your company and its associated tax liability that it incurs. Reemployment tax gives temporary assistance to workers who lose their jobs through no fault of their own, and are able and available for work.

TIP:

Future-date registration is possible for this state's unemployment insurance!

Once registered, you will receive an Unemployment Account Number (UI) (called “Reemployment Account Number”) which you will need to enter into Namely Payroll under Company > Tax screen (UI tax).

If you’ve already processed payroll and have a
Reemployment Account Number, you can find the number on any previously filed Form RT-6 quarterly tax return or call the number below. It's a 7 digit number on the top of the form labeled "RT Account Number".

CONTACT:

Visit the Florida Department of Revenue, Contact.

In addition, the number should be on any correspondence you've received from the Florida Department of Revenue regarding Reemployment Tax.

For additional information on registering for taxes, read
Employment Tax Registration Overview.

POWER OF ATTORNEY FORMS

Please note, Namely does not require a Power of Attorney for this state at this time. It is not required to file or remit payments on your behalf. If one is needed to resolve a tax matter, the tax notice team will request one from you at that time.

If a Power of Attorney is requested from you, you should email completed copies of the forms
namelyPOA@Namely.com with the CID in the subject line for processing. We will update our system and maintain a copy of each form for record-keeping purposes

For additional information on Power of Attorney, read Completing the Power of Attorney Package.
